Voice prompts on HUAWEI earbuds

When the earbuds are used with phones running iOS/EMUI 10.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later, the language of the voice prompts will vary depending on the phone's system language. If the language on your phone is set to Chinese, the voice prompts will be played in Chinese. Otherwise, voice prompts will be in English. Currently, it is not possible to disable or modify voice prompts, or adjust their volume.

 
  • Third-party Android phones may not support the feature. Consult with your phone's vendor for assistance.
  • The language of voice prompts on FreeLace Pro and FreeLace Lite earbuds is the language of the country/region of manufacture by default. You cannot change the language or adjust the volume level.

    • When putting on the left and right FreeBuds Pro/FreeBuds 4i/FreeBuds 3/FreeBuds SE earbuds one at a time, the prompt tone will play from both earbuds the moment the first one is put on. You may fail to hear that tone when putting on the second earbud.
    • Smart wear detection is not supported on FreeBuds SE 4 ANC/FreeArc /FreeBuds SE 3/FreeBuds SE 2. When your put on these earbuds, no prompt tone is played.
  • The left and right earbuds worn on the right and left ears respectively

Certain models do not support the triple-tap gesture. You can open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, access the earbuds details screen, and tap Gestures to check whether the gesture is supported on your device. If the triple-tap gesture cannot be found, it indicates feature unavailability. For details, refer to here.

Voice prompts for charging cases are available after you have updated the earbuds' firmware and Audio Accessory Manager to their latest versions. This feature is enabled by default. To disable it, access the earbuds card in the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, and go to Settings/Device settings > Charging case tone.
