My ears start to hurt after wearing HUAWEI earbuds for a long time

Ear canal size varies by individual, so the earbuds may not be a perfect fit for your ears. Try the following solutions:

  1. To ensure an optimal wearing experience, it is recommended that you clean the earbuds on a weekly basis. The left and right earbuds are marked with "L" and "R" respectively. Please wear them correctly. Skip this step if the left and right earbuds are interchangeable.
  2. FreeBuds Pro 4/FreeBuds 6i/FreeLace Pro 2/FreeBuds Pro 3/WATCH Buds/FreeBuds Pro 2/FreeBuds 5i/FreeBuds Pro/FreeBuds 4i/FreeBuds 3i/FreeLace/FreeLace Pro/FreeLace Lite/FreeBuds SE earbuds come with ear tips of different sizes. Select the pair of ear tips that best fit your ears. If only one earbud tends to come loose, you can use two different sizes of ear tips.
  3. Adjust how you wear your earbuds or how deep the earbuds are inside your ear canals to reduce the pressure.

If you are using FreeBuds Studio, pull out the metal sliders to a proper length until you feel comfortable when wearing the headband.

  4. After every hour of wearing FreeBuds series, FreeLace series, or WATCH Buds earbuds, take them off and gently massage your ears. Avoid picking your ears immediately after you have worn the earbuds for a long period, to prevent any pain being caused.

Do not wear the earbuds before falling asleep, to avoid any potential strain on your ears.

  5. Adjust the volume to a more suitable level. If you are using FreeBuds/FreeLace/WATCH Buds earbuds, avoid using the earbuds at a volume higher than 60%.
