HUAWEI computers can be connected to external cameras. To check whether your computer is compatible with a certain camera, read its specifications and connection requirements.
- Enter Device Manager in the search box on the taskbar and open it.
- In Device Manager, select Cameras to show all devices, right-click the built-in camera, and select Disable device.
- Connect the external camera to the computer.
- For a computer with a USB port, connect the camera to the computer via the USB port and debug the camera according to the camera instructions.
- For a computer with no USB port, connect the camera to the computer via a USB docking station, and debug the camera according to the camera instructions.
- For a wireless camera or Bluetooth camera, follow the camera instructions to connect it to the computer.
- After the built-in camera on your computer is disabled, the external camera will be automatically enabled when an app needs it.
- If you wish to switch back to the built-in camera of the computer, enable the built-in camera in Device Manager by referring to step 2.
