Using the HDR feature of a HUAWEI monitor

The monitor supports the HDR feature, which allows gaming and app images displayed on the monitor to look brighter and more vivid.

The HDR feature cannot be separately enabled or disabled for the monitor and can only be enabled on the computer system.

Procedure:

  1. Right-click any blank area on the desktop and select Display settings.

  2. In Brightness & color (or Windows HDR Color in Windows 10), toggle on the switch for Use HDR.
     
    • If you have connected multiple monitors to your device, click Identify, and record the ID displayed below the monitor supporting the HDR feature. Then select this monitor to enable or disable HDR for it.
    • After this feature is enabled, power consumption will increase. You will need to connect your device to a power supply before using this feature.
