WLAN error on the watch |
Unable to search for a WLAN
- Check whether your watch is out of the hotspot coverage or the hotspot is disabled.
- Check whether the WLAN hotspot has been configured to be hidden. If so, change the settings for the WLAN hotspot so that it can be detected.
- The watch can't connect to Portal hotspots in places such as hotels and airports (because the hotspots need to be verified on the browser of your phone).
- The watch can only work when connected to a 2.4 GHz WLAN hotspot, not a 5 GHz WLAN hotspot. If it is connected to a 5 GHz WLAN hotspot, enable the 2.4 GHz frequency band for the hotspot. For details about how to enable the 2.4 GHz frequency band for the personal hotspot of your router or phone, contact the customer service personnel of your router or phone.
For example, if you are using a Huawei phone, search for "AP frequency band" on the Assistant·TODAY screen and configure settings. If you are using an iPhone, turn on the switch for Maximize Compatibility in Personal Hotspot..
Unable to connect to a WLAN
- Check whether your watch is within the WLAN coverage range.
- Check whether the WLAN is enabled and whether the network connection is normal.
- Check whether the WLAN password you entered is correct.
- The watch can't connect to Portal hotspots in places such as hotels and airports (because the hotspots need to be verified on the browser of your phone).
- The maximum number of devices allowed to connect to the hotspot has been reached. Check whether there is an upper limit on the number of devices connected to the WLAN. If so, remove the limit and try again.
- Check whether a trustlist has been configured for the WLAN. If so, add the watch's MAC address to the trustlist.
Unable to access the Internet after the watch is connected to a WLAN
- Check whether the WLAN connection of the router is normal.
- If you are redirected to the login authentication page (for example, when accessing the network in Starbucks or a hotel) for your phone to be connected to a WLAN, it indicates that the watch is unable to connect to the WLAN.
- If the issue persists, restart the router and try again.
The WLAN speed is slow on the watch
This issue is generally because the network speed of the hotspot connected to your watch is slow or there are too many devices connected to the hotspot. We recommend that you use a hotspot with a higher network speed.
My HUAWEI WATCH 3 frequently disconnects from the WLAN or fails to reconnect automatically
- When the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the watch will give preference to the phone's network and automatically disconnect from the WLAN. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your watch.
- If the WLAN is unstable or the signal is weak, the WLAN connection may disconnect. In this case, we recommend that you try another WLAN.
- If the WLAN can't automatically reconnect, we recommend that you go to the WLAN settings screen to reconnect your device to the WLAN.
Thanks for your feedback.
