An Alarm rings unexpectedly or the alarm icon is displayed on my HUAWEI phone/tablet, even though I have not set an Alarm

If an Alarm rings unexpectedly or the alarm icon is displayed, even though you have not set an Alarm, perform the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check whether the alarm was enabled by a third-party app

System Alarms can be set by third-party apps. If features such as alarms and reminders have been set up in third-party apps, the alarm icon will be displayed on the status bar. Find the app responsible for the alarms. Go to the settings screen of this app and disable alarms, reminders, or similar features. If this does not work, you may need to uninstall the app to resolve the issue.

2. Check whether you have set a reminder in Notepad

Go to Notepad > To-do to check whether you have set any reminders.

  • Delete the reminders if necessary.
  • If you have not set any reminders, go to Notepad > All notes > Recently deleted and check whether there are any reminders there. If there are, clear the data in Recently deleted.

3. Check whether the alarm was set by another user

Switch to the main account or the other user's account to view and delete the Alarm that has been set. (Some devices do not support PrivateSpace or Users.)

PrivateSpace: Go to Settings, then search for and try to access PrivateSpace. If PrivateSpace can be accessed, it has been enabled.

Users: Go to Settings, then search for and try to access Users. If other users and guests are displayed on the Users screen, Users has been enabled.

4. If the issue persists

If the issue remains unresolved, call the Huawei customer service for further assistance.
