[HUAWEI] Unable to sync data to the Huawei Health app when my watch/band is connected to my phone

If data like Steps, Heart rate, Stress, and Exercise cannot be synced to the Huawei Health app after your wearable device is connected to your phone, perform the following to troubleshoot.

The fitness data that has been synced to the Exercise screen of the Huawei Health app cannot be synced again. You can manually add a workout record on the Huawei Health app by going to the app home screen, touching the Exercise records card, touching + in the upper right corner, and entering data for options like Choose activity and Duration.

Check that your watch/band is properly linked with the Huawei Health app

On the Huawei Health app, touch Devices, and check whether your device card is displayed. If so, it indicates that the connection is normal. Try syncing again.

  • If you're using an iPhone, iOS has a memory management mechanism which clears apps that have been running in the background for long periods of time, so as to ensure smooth system running and power efficiency. It's recommended that you open the HUAWEI Health app regularly to prevent it from being cleared. Reopen the HUAWEI Health app and try syncing again.
  • If you're using an iPhone and can't find the Stress card on the home screen of the HUAWEI Health app, but your wearable device displays your stress data normally, it's likely that the language on your phone isn't set to Simplified Chinese and the region isn't set to Chinese mainland.

To check or change such settings, go to Settings, search for and enter Language & Region.

Update to the latest versions

Update the Huawei Health app and your wearable device to their latest versions, and then swipe down on the home screen of the Huawei Health app to refresh and sync data.

Restart the Huawei Health app

Close the Huawei Health app, reopen it, and swipe down on its home screen to refresh and sync data.

Unpair and reconnect the devices

Unpair your wearable device from your phone via the Huawei Health app, and reconnect the two devices.

Uninstall and reinstall the Huawei Health app

Go to Huawei Health > Me > Settings > Sync data manually. After the syncing is successful, uninstall and then reinstall the Huawei Health app.

Before uninstalling the Huawei Health app, go to Huawei Health > Me > Privacy management, enable Sync personal info to cloud, Sync fitness data to cloud, and Sync health data to cloud, and exit the app. Reopen Huawei Health, go to Me > Settings > Sync data manually, touch SYNC, and wait till the progress bar reaches 100%.

Restore to factory settings

If the issue persists, restore your watch/band to its factory settings, and try syncing again after new data is generated.

  • Back up your data before restoring your wearable device to its factory settings, as it will clear all data from the device.
  • Restoring your wearable device to its factory settings will clear all data from the device, including the unsynchronized data. Newly generated data should sync normally.

(For agents) If the issue remains unresolved, collect information and escalate the issue.
