Resistance Scenario

IP68

Complies with the IP68 rating as defined in the IEC 60529:2013 standard.

Water resistance:

HUAWEI WATCH D2 is compliant with IPX8 water resistance. This means that it meets the water resistance requirements for everyday use, such as exposure to splashes of water and rain. However, it should not be worn while swimming, diving, showering, or at hot springs. It should also be kept away from shower gel, shampoo, soapy water, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and other household chemicals. If the watch does come into contact with any of these products, use clean soft cloth to wipe it dry. Before measuring your blood pressure, make sure that your watch is clean and dry.

The watch should not be worn in the following scenarios:

  • Keep the watch away from shower gel, shampoo, soapy water, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and other household chemicals. If the watch does come into contact with any such product, use clean soft cloth to wipe it dry.
  • Remove your watch before swimming, snorkeling, diving, scuba diving, or engaging in any other activities involving prolonged water immersion.
  • Remove your watch before entering high-temperature and/or high-humidity environments like hot showers, hot springs, and saunas (steam rooms).
  • Remove your watch before taking part in any activities involving high water pressure or fast-flowing water, including diving, water skiing, surfing, riding on speedboats or other motorized water sports, car washing, and rafting.
  • If your watch is wet from hand washing or rain, promptly wipe the watch and let it dry before taking a blood pressure measurement. Failure to do so can result in water infiltration, which can lead to malfunctions such as measurement failures or slow airbag deflation.

Dust resistance:

The wearable device can prevent dust from entering in living rooms, offices, laboratories, light industrial studios, and storage rooms, but should not be worn in particularly dusty environments.
