Head control on HUAWEI Earbuds

The FreeBuds Neo / FreeBuds Pro 5 / FreeClip 2 / FreeBuds 7i / FreeBuds 6 / FreeBuds Pro 4 / FreeClip earbuds allow you to answer or reject incoming calls with head motions when your phone and earbuds are connected and your phone is ringing. This feature is disabled by default, and needs to be manually enabled.

Requirements for using this feature

App version and earbuds' firmware version requirements:

  1. Operating System:

    iOS、Android

  2. Version Requirements :

Update HUAWEI Audio Connect App to 1.1.0.331 or later.

Setting method

  1. Connect and wear the earbuds, open the HUAWEI Audio Connect App , and access the earbuds' card. Touch Head control and customize the features for the Nod head and Shake head gestures as required.
  2. When Head control is enabled, you can answer or reject incoming calls from the connected phone using custom settings.
  3. To prevent the feature from being triggered by mistake due to head motions just when there is an incoming call, the Head control feature takes effect 2 seconds after the incoming call is received.

    • This feature only supports rejecting incoming calls. When you are in a call, shaking your head cannot end the call. Currently, incoming calls from third-party apps such as WeChat are not supported.
    • When you are exercising, Head control may not be triggered or may be triggered by mistake. It is recommended that you manually answer or reject incoming calls or disable this feature during exercise.
    • When there is an incoming call, turning your head may be identified as nodding or shaking your head. If you do not want to answer or reject the incoming call with Head control, keep your head still or move slowly.
