Accidental Damage Protection Promotion Terms & Conditions
28 August 2023 – 31 December 2023

  • Introduction
    1.1 Accidental Damage Protection (“Promotion”) is organized and managed by HUAWEI Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd (“Organizer”), including affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Organizers”).
    1.2 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.
    1.3 By entering the Promotion, all Promotion Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organizers and the Organizers decision regarding any issue will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.
    1.4 This Promotion will run from 28 August 2023 – 31 December 2023, (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”).
    1.5 The Promotion deals exclusively with the HUAWEI Online store, HUAWEI Service Center Menlyn Park Mall, HUAWEI Service Center Melrose Arch, HUAWEI Service Center Canal Walk, HUAWEI Service Center Cornubia Mall, DRC (Device Repair center) and SSS Cellular (ASC-E – Accredited Service center) within the Republic of South Africa.
  • Accidental Damage Protection Process
    2.1 Accidental Damage Protection provides extra protection for replacement of the original HUAWEI components, spare parts damage in caused by accidental drops, impacts, squeezes or liquid penetration.
    2.2 Theft and loss are excluded
    2.3 1(one) year Accidental Damage Protection Promotion enables a Participants to claim for 1 (one) screen replacement in during the first year from date of purchase of device.
    2.4 Promotion Participants are only entitled to 1 (one) Accidental Damage Protection replacement during the first year from date of purchase.
    2.5 2 (two)years Accidental Damage Protection Promotion enables Participants to claim for 1 (one) screen replacement in during the first year from date of purchase of device and 1 (one) screen replacement in the second year. Promotion Participants are only entitled to
    2 (two) screen replacements, one (1) claim during the first year from date of purchase and one (1) claim during the second year from date of purchase.
    2.6 The Accidental Damage Protection Promotion must be purchased together with all new HUAWEI devices. Cost varies based on the model. Once the model is selected the price for the Accidental Damage Protection Promotion will be generated on the HUAWEI online website. Purchases can be made instore or online.

    2.9 Accidental Damage Protection only covers physical damage to the screen and excludes liquid damage and theft.
    2.10 Upon redeeming the Accidental Damage Protection at an ASC-E – Accredited Service center Promotion Participants will pay a cost of R350 (three hundred and fifty Rand) (including Vat) for labour charges.
    2.11 Once payment is made the Promotion Participants damaged screen will be replaced with 100% original HUAWEI spare part.
    2.12 Damaged screens will be disposed of, will not be returned to the customer and will become the property of the Organizer.
    2.13 The Organizer reserves the right to amend, change, or delete any portion and/or all of these terms and conditions without prior notice.
  • Refund
    3.1 Refunds will not be issued for the Accidental Damage Protection once the HUAWEI models as set out in clause 2.8 have been activated.
  • General Terms and Conditions
    4.1 The Promotion is valid from 28 August 2023 – 31 December 2023.
    4.2 The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organisers.
    4.3 The Promotion, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the terms and conditions.
    4.4 The Organisers reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Promotion for technical or commercial or operational reasons or for the greater public good or due to a “force majeure” event or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion, on condition that the Organisers notify the Promotion Participants in a manner that is expedient according to its best ability.
    4.5 The Promotion, any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the Promotion, and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.
    4.6 The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and/or terminate this Promotion immediately at any stage, whether required as a result of changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority, or within the sole discretion of the Organisers for any reason (recognized in law). Notice of such termination shall be published on the Organisers Promotions Website. In such event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organisers whatsoever.
    4.7 In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
    4.8 All Promotion Participants indemnify the Organisers, their associated and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers and employees, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from the Promotion Participants participation in any way whatsoever in this Promotion.
