Burn-in effect, contours, shadows, or ghost image on the OLED screen |
Problem:
The prolonged display of a still image creates contours, shadows, or a ghost image effect
when the phone switches to another screen.
Cause:
Your phone has an OLED screen. When the same content of a still image is displayed on the screen for an extended period of time, its contours or a ghost image may remain visible even after the content on the screen changes. This is a characteristic of all current OLED screens and cannot be resolved at present.
Solution:
- No troubleshooting is required as the contours or shadows will fade away shortly after you switch to another screen.
- Avoid staying on the same screen for a long period of time, especially if it is displaying a high contrast image. Otherwise, you may need to keep your screen off for a while for it to return to normal.
- If the issue persists, back up your data and take your phone and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
