[HUAWEI] It takes a long time to update my wearable device

It is recommended that you fully charge your wearable device before updating it. Troubleshoot the issue by performing the following steps:

  1. Check your phone's network status, make sure that your phone is connected to a 4G/5G or Wi-Fi network, and try again.
  2. The Bluetooth chip on some phones has a slow transmission rate, or the update package may be large. Therefore, the update may take a while to complete.
  3. Do not use your wearable device or phone during the update. Once the update package is installed, your wearable device will automatically restart and relink with the Huawei Health app.
  4. It is recommended that you enable automatic update on your wearable device, so that it can update automatically while charging.
    1. Enable Auto-download update packages over Wi-Fi.
      • Android phones: Open the Huawei Health app, go to Devices > Firmware update, touch Settings in the upper right corner, and enable Auto-download update packages over Wi-Fi.
      • iPhones: Open the HUAWEI Health app, go to Me > Settings, and enable Auto-download update packages over Wi-Fi.
    2. Press the side button on your device or swipe right on the screen to exit the download screen.

5. If the update fails, connect your wearable device to another phone and try again.

If the problem persists or you encounter any difficulties, back up your data, and bring your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
