If your device fails to be updated, refer to Update failure on my HUAWEI phone/tablet for troubleshooting. You can also call the Huawei customer service hotline for further assistance.
When your device is using Wi-Fi
- Open Settings, search for and access Software update or System update, and tap Check for updates to check for new versions.
- If no new version is detected, the system update may not have been pushed to your device.
- Please stay tuned for system updates and update your device to the latest version at your earliest convenience. (You are advised to call the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance.)
When your device is using mobile data
- Go to Tablet Manager/Optimizer > Data usage.
- Disable Smart Data Saver.
- Go to Network access > Software update and enable Mobile data.
Note: If Data usage cannot be found, this feature is not supported. The actual situation prevails.
There may be a cache data error
- Open Settings, and search for and access Apps.
- Go to

- Go to .
- Open Settings again, and search for and access System update/Software update.
- Tap Check for updates to check for new versions.
The device has not been updated for a long time
Cause: If you have not updated your device for a while and therefore have got a lot of system updates not installed, the system will no longer provide an update link and you will no longer receive system update notifications.
Operation: Call Huawei customer service hotline for assistance.
