The location icon frequently appears on the status bar on my HUAWEI phone/tablet

Problem:

The location icon repeatedly appears on the status bar of the phone/tablet and then disappears.

Cause:

Certain apps using your location information may enable or periodically invoke the GPS function (for example, weather apps).

Solution:

1. Open Settings, search for Location, and go to Access my location or Access location info to view which apps recently sent location requests. You can disable Access location info for apps as needed.
   

   The location information is mandatory for certain apps, such as map & navigation apps, weather apps, and food delivery apps. Disabling the location permission for such apps may result in them failing to work as intended.

2. When a map & navigation app is running in the background, the location icon will appear on the status bar. To remove this icon, prevent the app from running in the background.
