My phone NFC cannot read a physical card or responds slowly
My phone NFC cannot read a physical card or responds slowly |
Problem:
The phone NFC fails to read a physical card, including no response or slow response.
Solution:
1. Check whether you have set NFC correctly.
Swipe down from the status bar, touch and hold NFC to enter the settings screen, and enable NFC.
2. Check whether the card and your phone are aligned correctly.
Ensure that the NFC sensor area of your phone is aligned with the card. If your phone responds slowly or does not respond at all, adjust the position or height of your phone (1–2 cm is recommended). The NFC antenna area varies with cards. For example, when reading an ID card, ensure that the NFC antenna area of your phone is aligned with the lower middle area of the card.
3. Install and configure card-reading apps.
- Ensure that you have installed relevant apps that can read NFC cards.
- Ensure that your phone is connected to the Internet and NFC is enabled in app settings.
There is no response when reading the card.
- If card reading also fails, the card may not support NFC or the card is faulty. In this case, contact the card issuer.
- If the card is successfully read, the phone may be faulty. Back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
There is a response but the relevant app is unable to read data.
- Turn off the screen, turn it on, and then put the card against your phone. The NFC tag discovered message will then be displayed on your phone. Touch the message and then select an app to read the card.
- If the app does not respond, reinstall the app or contact its customer service.
- Update your phone to the latest version and try again.
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
