The other party's voice sounds distorted during calls

Cause:

Voice and other kinds of sound data (such as music being played by the other party) are compressed during call transmission, resulting in slight distortion. Additionally, due to the specific acoustic characteristics of the receiver and speaker, this distortion is more noticeable when using the speaker in Hands-free mode than when using the receiver to make a call. Music played from your own phone does not need to be compressed, so will not sound distorted.

Solution:

  1. Use the receiver whenever possible. When in Hands-free mode, make sure that the volume is not too high.
  2. If you feel that the voice quality is unacceptably poor during calls, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
