How to insert SIM cards on my HUAWEI phone |
1. Make sure that your SIM card fits your device
- Use standard Nano-SIM and Nano Memory (NM) cards. Non-standard cards can damage the card tray or card slot or lead to card detection failure.
- If your SIM card cannot fit into the card tray, contact your carrier for replacement. Do not attempt to cut the SIM card by yourself.
2. Remove the card tray and identify the top and bottom sides
Use an eject pin to remove the card tray.
- The top side is marked with "SIM1", where you can insert a nano-SIM card into the slot.
- The bottom side is marked with "NM", where you can either insert an NM card or nano-SIM card into the slot.
3. Insert the SIM card into the corresponding card slot
With the gold contacts facing up, insert the card notched end first into the SIM card tray. Once in place, a spring near the front of the card tray will hold the card in place. You can now turn the card tray over and insert another card using the same method.
4. Insert the card tray into the phone
With the phone and the card tray both top-side up and level, insert the card tray back into your phone.
5. Precautions
- If using an NM card, make sure to insert it on the bottom side of the card tray. Otherwise, your phone will not be able to detect it. Inserting the NM card into the wrong slot will not damage your phone. Simply remove it and move it to the correct slot.
- Try not to mistake the microphone hole for the SIM card tray hole. If you accidentally stick your eject pin into the microphone hole, don't worry, because the microphone holes have a design to prevent them from being damaged.
