Enable or disable Item check boxes on a HUAWEI computer

When the Item check boxes feature is enabled for desktop icons, you are able to select multiple files, folders, drivers, and desktop icons. After you click a desktop icon and a check box will be displayed on the upper left corner of the icon.

After the keyboard is removed from a 2-in-1 device, tablet mode will be enabled by default and the Item check boxes feature cannot be set.

To enable or disable Item check boxes, perform the following steps:

Right-click the Windows icon, go to File Explorer > View > Show (or File Explorer > View), and select Item check boxes. To disable the feature, deselect Item check boxes.

If the issue persists, back up your data, save your Office account that has been activated, and use F10 to restore your device to its factory settings. If the issue remains unresolved, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
