Use Bluetooth devices

Connect a Bluetooth device to your computer.

  1. Click the Windows icon then the Settings icon, and click Devices.

  2. Click Bluetooth & other devices, enable Bluetooth, and go to Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth. Select a displayed device to connect, such as a phone or Bluetooth mouse.

 
  • Make sure your device is turned on and discoverable.
  • If the Bluetooth device you want to connect is not shown among the search results, disable and then re-enable Bluetooth and search again.

Send and receive files over Bluetooth:

After establishing a Bluetooth connection, click the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar.

  • Click Send a File, then select the device you want to receive the file and the file you want to send as instructed. The file will be sent after confirmation is received from the receiving device.
  • Click Receive a File. On the sending device, select a file and send it to the computer. The computer will automatically receive the file.

To send a file from a Bluetooth device (such as a mobile phone) to a computer, you need to click the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar and click Receive a File, then select the file you want to send. Otherwise, the computer may fail to receive files.

How to modify my computer's Bluetooth ID?

To modify the Bluetooth name of your computer,

make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.

  1. Right-click the Windows icon then click Device Manager.
  2. In the Device Manager window, unfold Bluetooth, right-click Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R), and click Properties.

  3. Click Advanced and modify the Bluetooth name.
