Cause:

After the computer is connected to the Internet, it will automatically update the patch, pre-installed software, and drivers, during which time it consumes a lot of mobile data, which may incur data charges.

Solution:

Use Wi-Fi to update your system and programs before you connect the computer to the mobile hotspot, or disable the automatic update function before using the mobile hotspot.

To disable the automatic update function, perform the following:

1. Press the Win and R keys at the same time to display the Run window. Enter services.msc and click OK.
2. Double-click Windows Update and set Startup type to Manual. Click OK.
