Unable to open some pre-installed apps on my HUAWEI computer

Problem

The user is unable to open some system apps, such as Weather, Photos, and Calendar, and receives an error message.

Cause

• The Windows built-in app is abnormal, the version is too early, or the app is uninstalled by mistake.
• Windows system files are damaged.

Solution

1. Open Microsoft Store, click Library in the left pane, and click Check for Updates to update the apps in the list of installed apps to their latest versions.

2. Reset Windows built-in apps by referring to Using commands to reinstall built-in apps in Windows OS. After the reset is complete, restart your computer and try again.
3. To troubleshoot Windows system issues, back up your data and update your computer's system to the latest version. For details, see Updating to a higher version of Windows. If the issue persists, create an account by referring to Adding/Deleting a user account on the computer . After the account is created, restart the computer immediately, select and switch to the newly created local account during startup, enter the system as prompted, and try again.
4. If the issue persists, back up your data in advance, record your Office account, and use F10 to restore your computer to its factory settings.
