Problem

The status of the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar or in the Device Manager of the user's computer is abnormal, or the Bluetooth module is missing.

Cause

  • The Windows operating system does not respond properly or the settings are incorrect.
  • The Bluetooth driver malfunctions.
  • The hardware of the Bluetooth module is faulty.

Solution

  1. Check the Windows system settings to ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and the icon is not hidden.
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, and enable Bluetooth again.

Click to go to Bluetooth & other devices

    2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > View more devices > More Bluetooth settings (Windows 10: Settings > Devices > More Bluetooth options), and select Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area.

  2. Disable and then enable the Bluetooth driver. If the issue persists, uninstall the Bluetooth driver and then reinstall the driver of the latest version.
    1. Right-click and click Device Manager.

    2. In Device Manager, find the Bluetooth directory, right-click on Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)/Realtek Bluetooth Adapter, select Disable device, and then select Enable device.

If no Bluetooth driver is displayed in Device Manager, open Huawei PC Manager and go to Optimization > Drivers to install the Bluetooth driver.

    3. In Device Manager, find the Bluetooth directory, right-click on Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)/Realtek Bluetooth Adapter, and select Uninstall device.

    4. In the Uninstall Device pop-up window, check the box for Attempt to remove the driver for this device, and click Uninstall.

    5. Restart the computer. Open Huawei PC Manager, go to Optimization > Drivers, and check for updates to update the Bluetooth driver to the latest version.

  3. If the issue persists, enable Bluetooth in the BIOS by referring to Disabling or enabling Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in the BIOS.
