To do this, you will need to modify the registry, which may cause errors. It is recommended that you back up important data in advance and only proceed under professional supervision.

- Expand the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
The IconSpacing on the right determines the spacing of icons placed side-by-side. The spacing equals the data value divided by "-15". For example, if the value data is "-1125", then the icon spacing is 75 pixels.
To change the icon spacing to 100 pixels, double-click IconSpacing and set Value data to -1500. Then, click OK.
- Double-click IconVerticalSpacing and set Value data to -1500 to change the vertical spacing between different icons. Then, click OK.
- Restart your computer.
