How do the camera lenses of the P30 series phones work together?

The long-focus camera lens is mainly used for shooting objects at a long distance.

The main wide-angle camera lens is required for most shooting scenarios.

The ultra wide-angle camera lens is used for shooting panoramic scenes with a minimum shooting distance of about 2.5 cm.

The time-of-flight (ToF) camera lens (currently only supported by the P30 Pro) is used to improve the 3D effects of a scene. It is capable of calculating the distance information accurately and delivering pictures with a great sense of depth.

When used to take photos, the P30 usually has two camera lenses while the P30 Pro has three camera lenses working together. The Camera app will select a proper camera lens combination based on your settings and the scene.
