When your phone is not connected to the Internet, 5G is not activated and the signal bars indicate the 4G signal strength (even though 5G is displayed in the status bar). The signal bars will indicate the 5G signal strength only when your phone is connected to the Internet. Currently, 5G coverage is not as extensive as 4G coverage, and it is possible that the signal bars jump when you switch between 4G and 5G networks. Please contact your carrier for further information.
