Unable to locate the kids watch in the HUAWEI FamCare app
Unable to locate the kids watch in the HUAWEI FamCare app |
When using the HUAWEI FamCare app to locate your watch, make sure that the watch is powered on and has a stable network connection to obtain the watch's location information. You can follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot:
A loading circle is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app, or the following message is displayed: Watch not connected to the Internet/Locating timed out
If the watch has a weak signal, is powered off, out of credit, or has a poor mobile data connection, the app may not receive messages from the watch. For further instructions on how to troubleshoot the issue, refer to "Watch not connected to the Internet" is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app.
"No Internet connection" is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app
This means that the phone's network connection is not stable. You can switch to another network, or wait until your phone's mobile network becomes more stable and try again.
A message indicating that the watch is powered off is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app
- When the watch is powered off, parents are unable to obtain the watch's latest location information via the HUAWEI FamCare app. In this case, check the home screen message in the HUAWEI FamCare app to find out why the watch is powered off.
- If neither your child, nor the account admin has powered off the watch, it may have run out of battery. Go to Chat > Notifications to check whether you've received a low battery notification.
To view or modify the Schedule on/off settings, open the HUAWEI FamCare app and touch the icon in the upper right corner, then select Schedule on/off.
To prevent your watch from powering off automatically, open the HUAWEI FamCare app and touch the icon in the upper right corner, then enable Disable Power button on watch.
If the issue persists
- Uninstall the HUAWEI FamCare app and then reinstall the app. For more information, see Downloading and updating the HUAWEI FamCare app.
- Restart your watch or restore it to its factory settings. For more information, see Restoring the kids watch to its factory settings.
Exercise caution, as restoring the kids watch to its factory settings will clear call logs, chat records, messages, photos, and other data from the watch. To manage the kids watch again, you need to scan the QR code of the watch to link it to the HUAWEI FamCare app again. Data, such as contacts and alarms, is stored in the cloud. Once the kids watch has been relinked, data will be synced from the cloud to the watch.
- If the issue persists, contact Huawei customer service for the issue to be handled by Huawei R&D engineers.
