How to transfer photos/videos from a HUAWEI kids watch to a phone/computer

Back up and check data simply by transferring photos/videos from the kids watch to a phone/computer.

Transfer to phone

  • Method 1:
    1. On the kids watch home screen, swipe left to Chats, select the chat box of the friend you want to send files to, touch + and then Gallery in the lower left corner, and select the photo/video you want to send.
    2. Open the HUAWEI FamCare app on your phone, select Communication, find and touch the chat box of the friend in question, touch and hold the photo/video you want to save, and touch Save image to save the photo/video to your phone.
  • Method 2: (Supported only by the HUAWEI KidWatch 4 and 5 Series:

    Open the HUAWEI FamCare app on your phone, go to Devices > More > Cloud Gallery, and select photos to be downloaded to the phone.

HUAWEI KidWatch 3 does not support video shooting.

Transfer to computer

  • HUAWEI KidWatch 3 Series:
  1. Connect the watch to a computer using a USB cable.
  2. When the USB mode selection screen is displayed on the watch, select PTP.

  3. On the computer, click This PC, select the watch folder with an icon, go to Internal shared storage space > DCIM > camera, and copy the photos/videos to be saved to a local folder of the computer for transferring.
  • HUAWEI KidWatch 4 and 5 Series:
  1. Open the HUAWEI FamCare app on the phone, go to Devices > More > Cloud Gallery, and touch the Settings icon in the upper right corner to enable the Cloud Gallery feature.
  2. Open HUAWEI Mobile Cloud on the computer by going to https://cloud.huawei.com/.
  3. Use the child's HUAWEI ID logged in to the watch to log in to HUAWEI Mobile Cloud, to view photos, or select and save them to the computer.

If the kids watch does not display the USB mode selection screen, update the watch to the latest version and repeat these steps again. For details about how to update the kids watch to the latest version, see Updating.
