Managing contacts

Inviting admins

The main admin can invite family members such as grandparents to be admins to interact with the child, such as giving rewards and answering emergency calls.

1. (Main admin) Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner of the home screen, go to Admin > New admin, enter a new admin's relationship with the child and phone number, and touch Invite in the upper right corner.
2. (New admin) Follow the onscreen instructions in the SMS message when invited to download and install the HUAWEI FamCare app, register a HUAWEI ID using the entered phone number, log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch I received an invitation, and follow the onscreen instructions to finish verification. The kids watch will be linked once the verification is successful.
3. The new admin's name and phone number will be automatically saved to Contacts on the kids watch.

 

• The main admin can touch Sort in the Admin list to adjust the order of normal admins and can touch and hold a normal admin and select Transfer permissions to transfer the main admin's permissions to the normal admin.
• The main admin can select a normal admin from the Admin list to access the personal information screen and edit the relationship between the normal admin and child.

Removing admins

(Main admin) Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner of the home screen, touch Admin, touch and hold the admin you want to remove, and select Remove.

Adding contacts

• (Admin) Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner, go to Contacts > Add, enter the kids watch's name and phone number, touch the profile icon to take a photo, use a preinstalled photo, or use a photo from Gallery as the profile picture, and touch the Check icon in the upper right corner to save the settings.
• Swipe on the home screen of the kids watch, go to Phone > Add, enter a name and phone number, and touch Save.

 

• A maximum of 200 contacts can be added on the kids watch.
• Contacts can make calls with the child but do not have other management permissions.
• Fixed-line phone numbers, numbers of family members, group numbers, or foreign phone numbers can be added to the child's contacts on the kids watch and two-way calls can be made between these contacts and the child. Quick numbers corresponding to numbers of family members or group numbers need to be added to contact remarks. You need to add an area code before a fixed-line phone number and add a country/region code before a phone number of another country/region (for example, "+86" for China).

Deleting contacts

Method 1: To delete a contact from the contact list in the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch and hold the contact you want to delete and touch Delete.

Method 2: To delete multiple contacts from the contact list in the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch Manage in the lower right corner, select contacts you want to delete, and touch Delete.

Editing contacts

(Admin) Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner of the home screen, touch Contacts, select a contact, touch Edit to edit information about the contact (including the profile picture, remarks, phone number, and quick number).

 

• The main admin can only modify a normal admin's nickname and cannot modify other information.
• Both the main admin and normal admins can modify information about contacts.
