How to add HiLink devices in the HUAWEI AI Life app

Only devices that support the HUAWEI HiLink protocol (labeled with "Works with HUAWEI HiLink") can be added to the app.

Prepare the following before adding devices:

• Smart device: The device is new or is restored to the default settings, fully set up, and powered on.
• Home Wi-Fi: connected to the Internet.
• Phone/Tablet: The latest version of the HUAWEI AI Life app has been installed.

To add a device:

1. Connect your phone/tablet to the home Wi-Fi.
2. Open the HUAWEI AI Life app. When using it for the first time, follow the instructions in the app to register or log in to your HUAWEI ID.
3. Go to Home > + >Add device, and the app will scan for devices nearby.
   

   If the app fails to find the device, touch ADD MANUALLY to add a device manually.

4. In the scanned device list, touch CONNECT next to the device name. When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password.
   

   If you are using a HUAWEI or HONOR router, which come with an H or Hi button, the app will automatically prompt you to add available smart devices, with no WLAN password required.

5. Set the Device name and Location, and finish adding.

You can then check and manage the device on the Home screen of the HUAWEI AI Life app.
