Set mobile data limit on HUAWEI CPE

When the CPE is connected to the internet using a SIM card, you can set a data limit to alert you about your data usage and avoid additional charges due to exceeding the data allowance.

Your device will not disconnect from the Internet after the data usage reaches the limit you set, but will only notify you that the data usage has exceeded the limit. Additional charges may apply if you continue consuming data.

Method 1: Using the AI Life app

  1. Make sure that your phone is connected to the HUAWEI CPE.
  2. Open the AI Life app on your phone.
  3. On the home screen of the app, touch the target HUAWEI CPE to access the management screen.

  4. You can view the used mobile data on the screen. Go to Set plan > SETTINGS to configure the mobile data settings.

  5. On the Data limit screen, touch Monthly limit or Daily limit to set a mobile data limit as required.Change the volume of the mobile data as required. You can touch the unit box to switch the mobile data unit.

Method 2: Using the web-based management page

  1. Connect your computer to the CPE's Wi-Fi (or to the CPE's LAN port using an Ethernet cable). Enter 192.168.8.1 in the address box of the browser, and enter the login password to access the management page of the CPE.
  2. Go to Tools > Statistics, and click .
