[HUAWEI] Weight measurements on my body fat scale are inaccurate

Inaccurate weight measurements may be caused by the way the body fat scale is placed, used, or stored. If your weight measurements are inaccurate, perform the following steps:

  1. Perform a measurement in the correct manner.

To ensure accurate measurements, wear light clothing and stand barefoot on the scale.

    1. Before measuring your weight, make sure that your scale is placed horizontally on a hard and flat surface. Place the scale horizontally, avoid placing it on soft wooden floors, carpets, or gaps between tiles, and avoid bringing it into contact with the wall or other objects. Wait for the scale screen to show a steady "0.0kg" and turn off, and then step onto the scale.
    2. Before weighing, if the scale screen already displays a weight, it means that it may have been moved. Wait for the scale screen to turn off before weighing.
    3. When being weighed, gently step on the middle of the scale plane and stand upright.
    4. After you're done, it is recommended that you continue to place the scale horizontally. Avoid placing it vertically or hanging it.

    • Place the scale on a solid flat floor. Do not place it against a wall. Make sure that there are no foreign objects under the feet of the scale, the feet of the scale are not placed in the gaps between tiles, and the scale is not being lifted up by anything. When moving the scale, do not drag or kick it.
    • Perform the measurement at the same time and under the same conditions every day. Ignore the first measurement if you are measuring for the first time or if you have moved the scale.
  2. Check whether the weight unit is correctly set.

Open the Huawei Health app and touch Devices, the connected body fat scale, and then Measurement units.

    The following deviations are normal:

±0.05 kg if the weight is between 0 kg and 5 kg.

±0.2 kg if the weight is between 5 kg and 50 kg.

±0.3 kg if the weight is between 50 kg and 100 kg.

±0.4 kg if the weight is between 100 kg and 150 kg.

  3. Remove the battery and reinstall it.
    • Before doing this, sync your measurement data to the Huawei Health app to avoid losing the data. To manually sync data, open the Huawei Health app, touch Me in the lower right corner, and go to Settings > Sync data manually > SYNC.
    • Open the battery cover on the back of the body fat scale, remove the battery, and reinstall it. Place the scale on the ground, wait for the scale screen to show a steady "0.0kg", and start a measurement.

  4. Restore your device to its factory settings.

If the issue persists, make sure that your data has been synchronized, restore your scale to its factory settings, and try again.

If the issue remains unresolved or you encounter any difficulties, back up your data, and bring your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
