Noise canceling/Awareness is supported when one earbud is worn.
- Certain HUAWEI earbuds enables Awareness mode by default when you wear one earbud.
- When you wear one earbud, your other ear is exposed to the environment. In this case, the noise cancellation effect is not obvious. It is recommended that you wear both earbuds for a better noise cancellation experience.
How to set
- Connect the earbuds to your phone/tablet and put them on.
- Enable Noise canceling with one earbud (only for FreeBuds 6/FreeBuds 7i) as follows:
AI Life: Open the AI Life app, access the earbuds card, and tap Settings.
HUAWEI Audio Connect: Open the HUAWEI Audio Connect app, access the earbuds card, and tap Device settings.
- Switch to Noise canceling mode.
Method 1: Use the pinch-and-hold/touch-and-hold gesture to switch to or disable Noise canceling mode.
Method 2: Open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, access the earbuds card, and switch to or disable Noise canceling mode.
- If the gesture control does not work, open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, navigate to the earbuds card, and go to Gestures > Pinch & hold/Touch & hold, to check whether the gesture setting is consistent with the actual gesture control.
