Charging a HUAWEI kids watch

Preparing for charging

• It is recommended that you use a HUAWEI charger with a rated output voltage of 5 V and rated output current of 2 A or above to charge the kids watch. Charging the watch using a non-HUAWEI charger, computer's USB port, or power bank may result in the watch taking a longer time to charge, failing to charge to capacity, overheating, or other issues. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a HUAWEI charger from an official Huawei retail channel.
• Before charging, make sure that the charging port is dry and clean. Do not charge or use the watch in a hazardous environment, and make sure that there is nothing flammable or explosive nearby. Before using the charging cradle, make sure there is no residual liquid or other foreign objects on the USB port of the charging cradle. Keep the charging cradle away from liquids and any flammable materials. Avoid touching the metal contacts on the charging cradle when it is being used for charging.

Charging

1. To charge the watch, connect the charging cable to a power source, and align the metal contacts on the charging cradle with the metal contacts on the watch and place the two devices horizontally. If the metal contacts won't attach, adjust the orientation of them on the charging cradle until the magnet automatically attaches smoothly to the metal contacts. The charging battery level indicator will then display onscreen.
2. When the charging icon displays 100%, it indicates that the device has been fully charged and automatically stopped charging. Remove the device and disconnect the power adapter.

   • To prevent security risks, only location services and alarms will function while the watch is charging.

Low battery alert

• When the battery level of the kids watch is lower than 20%, HUAWEI FamCare will display a low battery alert to remind you to charge it in a timely manner.

• HUAWEI WATCH KIDS 4 Series/5 Series: When the battery level is lower than 10%, only features like emergency calling, normal calling, location services, and alarms will be available. Please charge the kids watch in a timely manner.
