SOS feature on a HUAWEI kids watch
| SOS feature on a HUAWEI kids watch |
Starting an SOS call
During an emergency, your child can make an SOS call to the admins, and the watch will automatically take photos and send them directly to the family group chat.
- With the watch powered on, the child can press the button to make an SOS call.
Press and hold the FUN button for 5 seconds until the watch vibrates, and the SOS call will start.
- The watch calls admins in the order set in HUAWEI FamCare. If no one answers, it keeps trying to call until it has reached everyone on the admin list three times. The watch will also send notifications and its location to the HUAWEI FamCare app.
To ensure the child gets help quickly, the main admin can arrange the order of admins. To do so, open HUAWEI FamCare, and tap Devices, Admins and then Sort
- As the watch initiates an SOS call, it does not play any sound, automatically take three photos of the child's location, and send them to the family group chat.
- The watch will stop making the SOS call when an admin answers the call, the child taps Decline, or the watch has reached everyone on the admin list three times.
- If the call is too short, fewer than three photos will be taken.
- The watch will still take photos and send them to the family group chat during an SOS call, even if photos are disabled by an admin.
- The SOS feature can't be disabled.
- The child can't perform other operations on the watch when an SOS call is ongoing.
Enabling message notifications
- Main admin: Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then General watch settings, and toggle on the switch for Enhanced SMS services.
- Once the kids watch starts an SOS call, it will also send an SOS SMS message to the main admin.
Update HUAWEI FamCare to the latest version before using this feature.
