Admins can manage apps on the kids watch via HUAWEI FamCare, including installing, updating, removing, or restoring them.
- To grant an app permission, go to , and toggle on the switch for the app.
- Before you proceed, make sure the kids watch and HUAWEI FamCare are updated to the latest versions.
Installing apps
- Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, and tap Devices, then AppGallery.
- On the Apps screen, find the third-party app you want to install, and tap Install.
- Manual searches aren't available.
Uninstalling apps
- Open HUAWEI FamCare, and tap Devices, then AppGallery.
- Navigate to , and uninstall the app you want to remove, or tap Batch uninstall to remove multiple apps at a time.
- Some system apps can't be uninstalled.
- To uninstall pre-installed third-party apps, confirmation is required on the watch.
- If you uninstall the pre-installed apps on your watch and then can't find them in AppGallery, you can restore them by resetting your watch to its factory settings. (Make sure to back up your data before doing so). As such, exercise caution when uninstalling pre-installed apps.
Updating apps
On the AppGallery screen, tap the settings icon in the upper right corner to enable Auto-update watch apps. Once your watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network, it will automatically update apps.
- Open HUAWEI FamCare, and tap Devices, then AppGallery.
- Tap Manage. If any app updates are available, tap Update.
- Select WAIT FOR WLAN or UPDATE NOW.
For automatic app updates on a Wi-Fi-connected watch, these requirements must be satisfied:
- The watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network (not a hotspot).
- The watch is being charged.
- The battery level is greater than 80%.
Restoring system apps
If a system app on your kids watch is accidentally deleted, you can restore it using the following method:
Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, and go to . Tap Restore next to the system app to restore it.
