Managing kids watch apps via the HUAWEI FamCare app

Installing apps

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then tap App​Gallery.
2. On the APPS screen, find the third-party app you want to install, and tap Install.

Manual searches aren't available.

Uninstalling apps

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then tap App​Gallery.

2. Navigate to Manager > Installation manager, and uninstall the app you want to remove.
    

   • Some pre-installed system apps cannot be removed.
   • To uninstall pre-installed third-party apps, confirmation is required on the watch.
   • If you uninstall the pre-installed apps on your watch and then can't find them in AppGallery, you can restore them by resetting your watch to its factory settings. (Make sure to back up your data before doing so). As such, exercise caution when uninstalling pre-installed apps

Updating apps

On the App​Gallery screen, tap in the upper right corner to toggle on Auto-update watch apps. Once your watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network, it will automatically update apps.

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then tap App​Gallery.
2. Tap Manager. If any app updates are available, tap Update.
3. Select Wait for Wi-Fi or Update.
   

   For automatic app updates on a Wi-Fi-connected watch, these requirements must be satisfied:

   • The watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
   • The battery level is greater than 30%.

Disabling apps

1. Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then go to Usage stats & time limits > App limits.
2. Choose the app you wish to disable and toggle off Allow watch to use xx.

   For some apps, you can set three time periods during which the app will be disabled, and configure a daily time limit for app usage.

    

   • HUAWEI WATCH KIDS 4 Pro does not support setting daily usage limits.
3. Disabled apps will appear grayed out on the watch. If your child taps a grayed-out app, a message will display, indicating that this app is disabled.

 

• You can disable third-party apps as well as certain pre-installed apps and features on the watch, such as Phone, MeeTime, Add friends, Lock screen PIN, and Group chat.
• Once disabled, an app will remain inactive even after being uninstalled and reinstalled.

Restoring system apps

If a system app on your kids watch is accidentally deleted, follow these steps to restore it:

Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then go to Usage stats & time limits > Restore system apps. Tap Add device next to the app you want to restore.
