Setting a lock screen PIN

  1. From the watch home screen, swipe down from the top to enter the Control Panel, and go to > Advanced.
  2. Enter your password and tap Screen lock to set or change the lock screen PIN.

If you forget the lock screen PIN

The lock screen PIN cannot be viewed or changed using HUAWEI FamCare. If you have forgotten the PIN, try the following:

Method 1: Disabling the lock screen PIN

Admin: Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, then go to Usage stats & time limits > App limits > Screen lock. Toggle off Allow watch to use lock screen PIN.

After the lock screen PIN is disabled, the lock screen PIN will be cleared from the watch and Screen lock in Advanced will gray out. To enable the lock screen PIN again, set a new lock screen PIN on the watch.

Method 2: Restoring the watch to its factory settings

Main admin: Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Devices, go to General watch settings > Reset watch, and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process. Restore the watch to its factory settings, and relink the watch to the app.

 
  • A factory reset will clear all call logs, chat records, SMS messages, photos, and other personal data from the watch, and require re-pairing with a phone for future wearable use. Exercise caution before proceeding.
  • Only the main admin can restore the watch to its factory settings.
  • The factory reset cannot start automatically if no SIM card is inserted or if the watch has network issues. To enable the watch to reset to its factory settings automatically, insert a SIM card and maintain an Internet connection.
