Resetting a HUAWEI Eyewear series device or restoring it to its factory settings

Perform the following steps to reset your eyewear. Once it is reset, your eyewear will automatically enter Pairing mode. You can search for the corresponding Bluetooth name on your phone/tablet and pair the eyewear with your phone/tablet again. (For details, please refer to Pair and connect your HUAWEI Eyewear series device).

When you restore your eyewear to its factory settings, the pairing information will be cleared, all settings will be restored, and your eyewear will re-enter Pairing mode. Reconnect your eyewear to your phone/tablet to set it up again.

HUAWEI Eyewear series devices
  • AI Life: Open the AI Life app, visit the device details screen, and go to Settings > Factory reset > RESET Eyewear.
  • Bluetooth settings: Go to the Bluetooth settings screen, touch the Settings icon next to the device name to visit the device details screen, and go to More settings > Factory reset > RESET Eyewear.

After you restore your eyewear to its factory settings using either of the above methods, you will see a message indicating that the factory reset has been completed.

  • By connecting to the charging converter:

    HUAWEI Eyewear 2: Make sure that the eyewear is charging. Press and hold the button on the charging converter for 10 seconds and then release. Wait for the indicators on the arms to flash red, which indicates that the eyewear has been restored to its factory settings.

    HUAWEI Eyewear: Make sure that the eyewear is charging. Press and hold the Function button for 10 seconds and then release. Wait for the indicator to flash white, which indicates that the eyewear has been restored to its factory settings.

    If the indicator does not flash and is still on after you release the Function button, it indicates that the eyewear has failed to be restored to its factory settings. In this case, try again or use the AI Life app or Bluetooth settings screen to restore the eyewear to its factory settings.

HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear series devices

Place the eyewear in the eyewear case, leave the case open, and make sure that the inner indicator is on. Press and hold the Function button on the case for at least 8 seconds until you see the indicator flashes red.

HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II's eyewear case does not contain a battery. Please connect the eyewear case to a power source before restoring the eyewear to its factory settings.
