[HUAWEI] Compass on my watch/band is inaccurate

1. Use Compass in an interference-free environment

• Use the feature when you're outdoors and have a stable magnetic field, far away from buildings, metallic materials, and strong magnetic fields (such as from phones, transformers, electric rotating machines, transformer stations, or high voltage electricity corridors).

• Avoid using Compass when you're indoors or inside vehicles, as there are a large number of electronic components that may interfere with it.

2. Calibrate Compass.

• HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series: Open the Compass app and tilt the watch until the circle is complete to calibrate.

• Other watches/bands: Wear the device on your wrist and tilt your wrist upward, downward, leftward, and rightward to calibrate Compass in multiple directions and positions.

  

• When verifying the accuracy of Compass after calibration, do not place your device near an electronic device, such as a phone, tablet, or PC, as doing so can affect the accuracy.

 

• Calibrate Compass before using it for the first time, restarting it, or powering the device off and then on.
• Calibrate Compass before using it if the device is close to a magnetic object, or is located in an environment with electromagnetic interference or an environment where the magnetic force suddenly changes. For example, the device is being charged (on the charging cradle) or near an electronic device (such as a smart watch, band, phone, or PC).
• Calibrate Compass before diving.
• If the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series (42 mm) is with the metal magnetic strap (Milanese strap), you are not wearing the watch, and your watch strap overlaps, the magnet will interfere with the accuracy of Compass. Please wear the watch and try again.
