Setting the default storage option is not supported on devices running EMUI 13.0 or later. Please use the Files app to move the files to the SD card.
If you are using a device running EMUI 12.0 or earlier, but Default location is not available after you go to , perform the following steps:
1 Check whether a memory card is inserted
If not, Default location won't be displayed. In this case, insert a valid memory card and try again.
2. Check whether the memory card password is set
If so, Default location won't be displayed. In this case, cancel the memory card password and try again. To cancel the password, perform the following steps:
EMUI 9.X/Magic UI 2.X or later: Go to Settings > Unlock memory card.
EMUI 8.X or earlier: Go to Settings > Clear SD card password.
Follow the onscreen instructions to remove the memory card password.
3. The memory card cannot be identified
If the memory card cannot be recognized, refer to My HUAWEI phone/tablet does not recognize an SD card.
4. If the issue persists
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
