[HUAWEI] AOD style settings do not take effect on my watch

Problem

When the user goes to Settings > Watch face & home, enables AOD, goes to AOD style > Default AOD style, and changes to a different style, the AOD style displayed after the watch screen turns off is not the one set by the user.

Cause

Some watch faces come with a matching AOD style, which cannot be customized and will take effect when the screen is off, even if AOD style has been changed by going to Settings > Watch face & home. If the watch face in use doesn't have a matching AOD style, your preset AOD style will take effect. AOD specifications are designed as so. This does not indicate any issue with your device and is no cause for concern.

AOD specifications:

• After you take off the watch, AOD will display for no more than five minutes, and then the screen will turn off.
• When your watch detects that you are asleep, the screen will turn off and AOD will no longer display.
• When AOD is enabled, you can select to display the watch face or AOD style when you raise your wrist.

Solution

1. Visit the Huawei Health app to check out the watch face in use.
   • Go to Huawei Health > Devices, select your device card to enter the device details screen, go to Watch faces > Me, and touch the watch face in use.
2. Check whether there are two preview pages for this watch face.
   • If so, the second page is the preview of the matching AOD style which will display when the screen is off.
   • If not, the AOD style manually set by you will take effect. If you want your custom AOD style to take effect, you will need to select a watch face that doesn't show two preview pages, or set a Gallery watch face.
