Icons disappear from the task bar on the desktop of my Windows 11 HUAWEI computer after it is powered off and on again or restarted

Problem

After the user directly restarts the system, wakes it up from sleep, or shuts it down and starts it again, the icons that come with the system disappear from the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop, and only the hidden icons and the Huawei PC Manager icon are displayed in the taskbar.

Cause

This is due to the Microsoft operating system. After the system is started, the automatic startup program doesn't run properly.

Solution

Workaround:

1. Restart the resource manager. To do so, perform the following:
   1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. In the displayed window, choose the Details tab, find and select explorer.exe, and click End task in the upper right corner.

   2. After the task ends, click File in the upper left corner of the Task Manager window and select Run new task. (In the Windows 11 Task Manager window, click the process icon on the left and then click Run new task in the upper right corner.) In the displayed dialog box, enter explorer.exe and click OK.

2. Save the window or file you are editing in the background, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and power off or restart your computer.
3. If the issue persists, create a local account by referring to Adding, deleting, or switching between Microsoft and local accounts on a HUAWEI computer.
4. If the issue persists, back up your data in advance, activate your Office account, and use F10 to restore your device to its factory settings. If the issue remains unresolved, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
