Problem
Printed images become unclear after using a new printer for a period of time, or after replacing the toner cartridge.
Cause
- If images printed with a new printer are unclear: The optical glass may be foggy due to a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors.
- If printed images are unclear after using the printer for a period of time: Toner in the drum cartridge may be about to run out or non-Huawei official consumables are used.
- If printed images are unclear after the toner cartridge is replaced: The toner cartridge may not be replaced correctly.
Solution
- If images printed are unclear
Power off the printer, open the printer cover, and use a clean lint-free cloth or glasses cloth to wipe the laser glass in one direction.
- If printed images are unclear after using the printer for a period of time
When the printer is powered on, press and hold the Start button (
) for 3 seconds to print the system information page, and check relevant information.
- If the toner cartridge has reached the end of its service life, replace the toner cartridge for the printer.
- If the drum cartridge has reached the end of its service life, replace the drum cartridge for the printer.
It is recommended that you go to an official Huawei channel to purchase an original toner cartridge or drum cartridge for the printer. If you use a non-original component, the printing quality and performance of the printer may not meet the design standards and you will not be eligible to enjoy the warranty services provided by the original manufacturer.
- If printed images are unclear after replacing the toner cartridge
Remove the drum cartridge and toner cartridge and shake them.
Ensure that you differentiate between the drum cartridge and the toner cartridge, and that the toner cartridge is locked. Remove the drum cartridge and toner cartridge together from the printer.
Try printing on 5 to 10 sheets of blank paper to check whether the issue is resolved.
