Problem

The background color of Microsoft Word on HUAWEI MateBook E 2022 is black.

Cause

HUAWEI MateBook E 2022 is pre-installed with Windows 11 in Dark mode. In this mode, the background color of Microsoft Word, browsers, and other pages is black.

Solution

1. Press Windows+i to open the Settings screen and select Personalization.

2. Select Colors and set Choose your mode to Light.

Note: Light mode will increase the screen's power consumption and shorten the battery life. Therefore, it is recommended that you keep the screen in Dark mode or connect your computer to a power supply to use it in Light mode.
