Enlarge or reduce a copy on a HUAWEI printer

HUAWEI printers can enlarge or reduce copies of the original by setting the copy ratio or paper size. After the original is enlarged, the original with small dimensions can be copied to the paper with large dimensions. After the original is reduced, the original with large dimensions can be copied to the paper with small dimensions.

  • If you copy files directly on the printer, the copy ratio cannot be set. By default, the copy is made at the same size as the original.
  • If you want to enlarge or reduce copies of multiple originals onto one page, you can use the N-in-one copying feature. For details, please refer to Use the N-in-1 copying feature on a HUAWEI laser printer.

Copy via the HUAWEI AI Life app

Before you do this, make sure that the printer has been connected to your phone/tablet via the HUAWEI AI Life app. The AI Life app does not allow you to set the copy ratio separately. You can enlarge or reduce copies by setting the paper size.

Procedure:

Open the HUAWEI AI Life app, enter the printer screen, and tap Copy. Then, select the copy mode as required.

  • Set the original size to a large size (for example, A4) and the paper size to a small size (for example, A5), and then select COPY to reduce the copy.
  • Set the original size to a small size (for example, A5) and the paper size to a large size (for example, A4), and then select COPY to enlarge the copy.
