Enable Smart Charge

Smart Charge learns from your charging habits and manages the charging process intelligently. This feature reduces the battery wear level and prolongs the battery life by reducing the time your device spends fully charged. It is advised that you keep this feature enabled.

For example, if you are used to charging your device overnight or for an extended period of time, Smart Charge will pause the charging when the battery capacity reaches a certain level. Before you get up in the morning, Smart Charge will resume charging until your device is fully charged. This reduces the time your device spends fully charged to slow down battery wear and prolong the battery life.

Data about your charging habits will only be used on your device and will not be backed up or uploaded to the cloud.

To enable this feature, go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings and enable Smart Charge.

Enable Custom Limit

To prolong the battery's lifespan, it's recommended that you avoid keeping the battery fully charged at all times.

Custom limit mode lets you set up the maximum charging level based on your personal preferences (70%–90% is recommended for daily use). The battery will automatically stop charging at this level.

Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings, toggle on the Custom limit switch, and set the maximum charging level.

You can only set either Custom limit or Smart charge mode at a time. By default, Smart charge is enabled and Custom limit is disabled. Select one from the two options as required. For instance, if your device is always connected to a charger for a long time, it's recommended that you choose Custom limit and set it to the maximum charging level of 70%.
