Audio service widgets of HUAWEI earbuds

Service widgets allow you to effortlessly manage devices connected to your HUAWEI FreeBuds series /FreeLace Pro 2 earbuds. Open the AI Life app, touch the earbuds card, and go to Service widgets > ADD TO HOME SCREEN to add widgets to the home screen, where you can seamlessly switch between connected devices. Service widgets support English and simplified Chinese.

  • If the earbuds were previously paired with a device, simply touch Connect in the service widget to reconnect.
  • If the earbuds were connected to a device, simply touch the device icon in the service widget to disconnect, and touch again to reconnect.
     
    • The Add to favorites option is not displayed on devices running HarmonyOS 4.0 or later.
    • If you are using FreeArc/FreeBuds Pro 4/FreeBuds 6i/FreeLace Pro 2/FreeClip/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds 5/FreeBuds Pro 2/FreeBuds 5i/FreeBuds 4E/FreeBuds Pro/FreeBuds Studio/FreeBuds 4/FreeBuds Lipstick, update their firmware to the latest version to use this feature. Other device models do not support this feature. Stay tuned for official updates.
    • Update Audio Accessory Manager, AI Life, and the plug-in in AI Life to their latest versions.
    • Update your HUAWEI phone/tablet to HarmonyOS 2.0 or later. This feature is not supported on PCs and the following HUAWEI devices:
      • HUAWEI mobile phones: HUAWEI P10, HUAWEI P10 Plus, HUAWEI Mate 9, HUAWEI Mate 9 Pro, PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 9, HUAWEI nova 2s, HUAWEI nova 3, HUAWEI nova 3i, and HUAWEI Y9 2019
      • HUAWEI tablets: HUAWEI MediaPad M5 10-inch, HUAWEI MediaPad M5 Pro 10-inch, HUAWEI MediaPad M5 8-inch, HUAWEI MediaPad M5 lite 8-inch, HUAWEI MediaPad M5 lite 10-inch, and HUAWEI MediaPad
      • HONOR 9, HONOR V9, HONOR Note 10, HONOR Play, HONOR Pad 5 8-inch, and HONOR Pad 5 10.1-inch

After updating Audio Accessory Manager to 12.0.0.200 or later, you can connect two or more pairs of earbuds or glasses to your phone/tablet at the same time, and touch to switch to the desired service widget.

For FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds Pro 2 +/FreeBuds Pro 2, the HD spatial audio service widget requires select HUAWEI phones/tablets running HarmonyOS 3.0 or later.
