Creating your own Health community to keep each other on track

Ensuring the health of friends and family members has always been our top priority. That's why the Huawei Health app offers a Health community feature that allows you to track health and fitness metrics of friends and family members, while sharing your own metrics with them as well.

How to invite loved ones to join Health community

  1. Open the Huawei Health app, swipe down on the Health screen, and select Health community.
  2. Invite your family members to ENTER HEALTH COMMUNITY via one of the following methods: Scan to add, Add via HUAWEI ID, or Share name card/QR code.
  3. On the invited family member's phone, open the Huawei Health app, go to Me > Health community, touch in the upper right corner, and select Members.
  4. In the Pending list, agree to the request and follow the onscreen instructions to set the fitness and health data that can be viewed by the other party, and then touch DONE, to join Health community.

How to view the fitness and health data of loved ones

  1. Open the Huawei Health app, enter the Me screen, and touch Health community.
  2. Touch the profile picture of a family member to view their health and fitness data.

  • This feature requires that the Huawei Health app is updated to its latest version.
  • A maximum of 20 users can join the same Health community.
  • Pair your Huawei wearable device to access a greater range of health data, including heart rate, sleep, stress, and SpO2 levels.

FAQs

  1. After the inviter initiates a request, the invited user does not receive it, nor can they find the Health community tab on the Me screen of the Huawei Health app.

In this case, update the Huawei Health app to its latest version from HUAWEI AppGallery.

  2. A family member has joined Health community, but some of their fitness and health data is unavailable.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • They have not authorized you to view the fitness and health data.
    • Their Huawei Health app has not generated this specific type of data.
    • They have not uploaded the fitness and health data to the Huawei Health cloud. In this case, remind the family member to enable Sync health data to cloud (by going to Huawei Health > Me > Privacy management).
  3. A family member has joined Health community, but some of their fitness and health data is unavailable on occasion.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • Their Huawei Health app has not generated this type of data, such as due to not wearing their wearable device when sleeping, or not performing any SpO2 measurements.
    • Their data has not been uploaded to the Huawei Health cloud due to power-off or network issues.
  4. Health notifications can't be received in the notification bar.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • The System notifications switch in the Huawei Health app is not turned on. Go to Huawei Health > Me > Settings > Notification management and check whether System notifications is enabled. If not, turn it on.
    • Huawei Mobile Services is not installed. Health notifications are dependent on Huawei Mobile Services. If you have not yet installed Huawei Mobile Services, please download and install it.
    • Huawei Mobile Services does not automatically run in the background. Health notifications are dependent on Huawei Mobile Services. If Huawei Mobile Services is not enabled, set it to be enabled by default. If you have installed any management software, such as Phone Manager, set Huawei Mobile Services to start automatically in such software. For details about how to do so, please refer to the User Guide or the help document for the phone management software.
  5. A family member's fitness and health data has been updated, but there is a delay in updating the corresponding data on the Health community screen.
This is because fitness and health data is synced periodically instead of in real time. Other possible causes are as follows:
    • Data syncing fails due to network disconnection.
    • The network disconnection upon screen-off feature is enabled. After the screen is turned off for a period of time, the network is automatically disconnected, resulting in the data failing to sync. To improve real-time data performance and reduce update delays, remember to perform the following:
    • Keep the network connected.
    • Disable the network disconnection upon screen-off feature. For details about how to do so, please refer to the User Guide for your mobile phone.
    • Manually sync data (by going to Huawei Health > Me > Settings > Sync data manually).
