| How to record audio with HUAWEI earbuds |
Below lists the scenarios in which the earbuds' microphone will record your audio when you are using them with a HUAWEI phone/tablet/PC and using different apps.
When using the earbuds with a HUAWEI phone/tablet
- Actual situation may vary for non-HUAWEI devices or apps. Consult the device supplier or app provider for details.
- How to determine whether you are recording audio with the earbuds: Connect your earbuds to your phone, put them in your ears, and move 3 to 5 meters away from your phone as you start recording. When you have finished, listen to the recorded audio file. If the audio is barely audible, it may be recorded by your phone's microphone.
- The quality of the audio recording may vary when different phone models and in-app settings are used.
- During a call: when you are making a call on a HUAWEI phone/tablet or sending in-app voice messages (including WeChat voice messages and video calls) while using the earbuds

When using the earbuds with a PC
PCs use their built-in microphone for recording by default. To use the earbuds' microphone instead, set this up on your PC by following these instructions:
First, connect your earbuds to your PC. Then, in Windows 10, click the Settings icon and go to and select your earbuds under Choose your input device. After doing this, you will be able to use your earbuds' microphone for recording. Actual steps may vary in other operating systems.
