If you have forgotten the broadband account or password required to configure your router, you can acquire the information from your old router to complete the configuration process. Please refer to the following procedures:
Preparations: Connect the HUAWEI WiFi WS5200 to a power source.
- Connect your phone or computer to the router's Wi-Fi (or connect your computer to a LAN port on the router), then open an Internet browser and enter 192.168.3.1 to log in to the router's web-based management page.
- Click Let's start to enter the Internet access wizard, click Enable auto-update, and then click Retrieve. (The steps in the following figures are performed on a smartphone, which are very similar to the operations on a computer).
- Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the Ethernet cable to the router, then click Retrieve.
- After successfully retrieving the network configurations from your old router, click Next, and follow the onscreen instructions to connect the Ethernet cable from the WAN port of the HUAWEI WiFi WS5200 to a LAN port on the Extranet.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to set the Wi-Fi name and password, as well as whether to retain key settings after you reset the router (enabled by default). The configuration is now complete.
Thanks for your feedback.
